Dive Site: Littleton Pit
Location: Civil Service Sailing Club, Littleton Lane, Shepperton, Middlesex, TW17 0NF
Description: Inland quarry
Depth: 6 metres max (20 feet)
Visibility: 2 metres (7 feet)
Rating: *
Littleton is a flooded gravel pit that even contains a few fish. There are no facilities, fills, or toilets on site, and you are only meant to dive here if your club pays an annual fee to the Sailing Club. Underwater there are two cars, a boat and a platform which are linked by a distance line, which is fortunate otherwise you'd find nothing! The bottom is incredibly silty; if you put your hand on the bottom it will sink down a few centimetres into thick mud. The site is ok for skills if you don't require much depth.

Reader Reviews:
For most of '09 the visibility has been astonishingly non-existent. We haven't even been bothering for the last 4 months, and we're quite local. Do yourself a favour, and go somewhere else.
